Sambhar Masala

 
 

Titli Samber Masala: Pressure cook 200g Arhar dal in 750 ml water. Soak 20g tamarind in 1/2 cup at warm water for 30 min. and extract pulp. Serve in a pan heat 50g ghee/cooking oil & try 1 tspn. mustard seeds and curry leaves 2 chopped onions till golden. Add 250g assorted vegetables pieces like brinjals drum sticks marrow peas carrots etc. 4 tspn. Samber masala salt to taste & try. Transfer cooked dal alongwith water to the vegetables. Add tamarind extract cover and simmer til the vegetable are lender.

 
Ingredients : (In descending order by weight) Coriander seeds, Turmeric, Cumin, Red Chillies, Fenugreek seeds, Rai, Salt White , Black pepper, Mustard seeds, Arhar Dal, Chana Dal, Cloves, Nutmeg, Mace, Cassia, Cardamom amomum seeds, Ginger, Asafoetida.
